marcyes.com has undergone a rather dramatic change since the domain name was first purchased in 2000 by my parents for use as a geneological archive of the marcyes family. My parents knew nothing about how to set-up and maintain a website, and shortly after purchasing the site, I went to Argentina for two years, leaving marcyes.com without so much as a splash screen saying, "coming soon".
Upon returning from Argentina, I noticed that my parents had let the renewal of the site lapse so I quickly purchased it and began using the site as my own personal sandbox. During the 4+ years that marcyes.com has been on the internet, it has seen numerous iterations. I started with just a crappy logo, then a flash intro that was way too long. The site has also gone from being hosted on geocities, to currently being hosted on 1and1. Although it has seen numerous changes and redesigns, the one thing I always seem to neglect is content.
how did I end up at your site?
That is a great question and I am unsure of an answer. This site seems to repel search engine crawlers, and since google currently lists around 8,058,044,651 web pages, the odds of you stumbling onto this site by accident is like winning the lottery, only you don't get anything.
